Chapter 557: The Ghost Basilisk - A Grave News!!!
A braver man than Vernon Dursley would have quailed under the furious look Hagrid now gave him; when Hagrid spoke, his every syllable trembled with rage.
"You never told him? Never told him what was in the letter Dumbledore left fer him? I was there! I saw Dumbledore leave it, Dursley! An' you've kept it from him all these years?"
"Kept what from me?" said Harry eagerly.
"STOP! I FORBID YOU!" yelled Uncle Vernon in panic.
Aunt Petunia gave a gasp of horror.
"Ah, go boil yer heads, both of yeh," said Hagrid. "Harry — yer a wizard."
There was silence inside the hut. Only the sea and the whistling wind could be heard.
"I'm a what?" gasped Harry.
"A wizard, o' course," said Hagrid, sitting back down on the sofa, which groaned and sank even lower, "an' a thumpin' good 'un, I'd say, once yeh've been trained up a bit. With a mum an' dad like yours, what else would yeh be? An' I reckon it's abou' time yeh read yer letter."
Harry stretched out his hand at last to take the yellowish envelope, addressed in emerald green to Mr. H. Potter, The Floor, Hut-on-the-Rock, The Sea.
He pulled out the letter and began reading.
…
It began then.
From Harry reading the Acceptance Letter to the skirmish between Hagrid and the Dursleys regarding the late Mr and Mrs Potter deaths.
From Hagrid's outrage over Vernon Dursley insulting Dumbledore to him telling Harry about the Dark Lord, Voldemort.
The story kept going on word after word, following the original events of the Timeline, accompanied by all the rightful emotions and expressions.
At last, Hagrid took out his coat and gave it to Harry before they all called it a night.
Unlike Harry though, Rubeus Hagrid's beady black eyes kept glowing the dull gray color of Notifications, for what he had done since his coming to the hut and Harry's sleeping wasn't an ordinary task at all.
It was what they called one of the defining moments of the Plot.

"D?"
"A touch bigger…"
"E?!"
"No. Probably a bit smaller…"
In one of the domed labs at the White Serpent Pirates' HQ, Red Sun and Rintaro were huddled together near a window, looking at the ladies bathing in sun by the lake.
On a lounge chair, Meg, with red hair, had a red bikini, black sunglasses resting over her eyes. She was the tallest of them all, her skin smooth; almost white.
Next to her, with golden hair and a green bikini, was Cersei.
Spawn was also there, but she was still in her Necroplasm, silently sitting on a chair, lost in thoughts.
"Can they hear us?" Rintaro asked, gulping.
Red Sun narrowed his eyes at Meg, really trying to figure out the size of those things. "No… I am keeping a Mana field around us. But…"
"But…?"
Red Sun grinned. "But if they found us, we can use D-Mail and jump to the other timeline with memory intact… hehe…"
Rintaro let out a chuckle, too, getting comfortable as they gawked at the ladies.
…
When Kai walked out from one of the other labs, donning a white lab coat, his eyes had gone red with tiredness.
First, he noticed the new Title and the piled-up Unassigned Points.
Now, with a full-fledged AI in his mind, Kai didn't need to waste time thinking over to which Stat he must assign his Points.
His Correspondence had already become the highest Stat among his Attributes, followed by Breath.
With Dementor Blood Essence's broken Skills, Kai had decided to never allot any Points to this Stat ever.
Recently, it was his Physical Attributes that were getting behind.
Any number of points in Correspondence were felt low to him anyway. This didn't mean Kai could overlook the rest of his Stats.
What if one day he couldn't apply Buffs?
As ridiculous as the situation was, Kai had never left himself to chance; not with his Luck.
And the Ad Infinitum agreed with him, it seemed.
Out of the 16 Unassigned Points, the AI allotted 9 Points to Perception, bringing it up to 30 and the rest of the points went to Stamina, bringing it up to 29.
Now, if Kai were to use Buffs and then used Deoxys' Attack or Agility Forme, his Stats would be more powerful altogether.
Not to mention, Stamina dictated HP, which, in turn, dictated HP Regeneration Rate.
With Kai's HP Regeneration Rate boosted by 100% of its base value by Blue Spider Lily, and then by another 500% by Biokinesis, a high Stamina would lead him to become a true demon on the battlefield.
Done with that little thing, Kai kept walking, sulkiness lingering in his mood.
Suddenly, his eyes fell on house-sized One Tail near the lake, sleeping, letting out billows of dust.
"…?"
As he approached nearer, Kai saw more than that.
Pressed under Shukaku's massive legs were Red Sun and Rintaro, their faces beaten blue and black. He could even see several red, swellings protruding from their heads.
How was Rintaro still outside, instead of being forced back to the Book, was a mystery even to Kai.
Sensing him around, Red Sun lifted his face and whimpered, his blackened eyes barely opening.
The Paper-Pokemon-Tailed Beast squirmed in sleep, covering Red Sun's entire existence under the sand.
Kai ignored the ladies and the two idiots and headed for another lab, his shoulders heavy with worry.
Black, as Hagrid, was in the Hut with Harry, sleeping.
Tomorrow would be a momentous day for him and his plans. One could even say that it would be a delicate, and complex, set of schemes that he would need to carry out.
But that wasn't the prime reason behind this heaviness.
As Kai walked into the lab, passed a corridor, and entered an empty grand, circular hall, the true reason presented itself to his sight, hovering a few inches above the grounds at the center.
It was a giant ghostly, silver egg, multicolored mist circling it, giving it unearthly, eerie surroundings.
It was Selene.
Almost three years had gone by since Selene had devoured the over thousand year old Runespoor's egg. She had holed herself in the form of this egg for her evolution.
Kai had believed even then that it would be a strenuous task, what with Selene's accumulated experience in the 3rd Stage of the Tournament of Worth and the quality of the devoured creature.
Nonetheless, he had never imagined that it would take her this much time.
Kai didn't need to be a scientist to conclude that something had gone wrong.
The best case was that Selene was becoming too strong and, hence, her evolution was also taking time.
The worst case was that Hastur and his Glitch's corruptions were conflicting with each other, messing with her genomes. Something like that could theoretically halt the entire evolution process.
[Chaos…] The Ad Infinitum beeped for him. [… What is wrong with Ghost Basilisk's evolution?]

Kai's brows shot up. This much?!
But this was something he must know, regardless of the price.
As the price got deducted, a dull-gray notification revealed the hideousness of the situation to him.
What he, and the AI, failed to consider was that what if his best and worst case scenarios combined, becoming something utterly impossible?!!
…
[
Because of the Corruption caused by an Old One's Gaze and Chaos' Authority, the Ghost Basilisk's consciousness has undergone a three-way division.
This division of consciousness, and personalities, is resonating with the innate nature of the devoured magical creature, Runespoor, causing a resonance.
The resonance is pushing the Ghost Basilisk's Grade above the Overall Grade of the timeline.
The Timeline doesn't tolerate foreign presences above the Overall Grade.
Hence, as things stand, the Ghost Basilisk's evolution is impossible.
